Lifetime Rust Protection Warranty, Backed by Krown
Lifetime coverage on new vehicles, up to 60 months on used. Unlimited mileage either way. Every annual Krown application at our Akron shop comes with a real warranty. If your vehicle rusts through from the inside, we cover the repair.
SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTHow the Krown Warranty Works
Here's the deal in plain English. As long as you bring your vehicle back to our Akron shop for reapplication each year, your warranty stays active. Annual treatment within 30 days of your anniversary date keeps you covered.
What's covered
- All body panels below the window line
- All seams and crevices
- All floor and rocker panels
If a covered area rusts through from the inside out, Krown pays for the repair. The exact value cap and a few small fine-print details depend on whether you're on the new vehicle or used vehicle track. See the two cards below.
Krown chooses where the repair work happens, so you know it's done right.

What the Warranty Doesn't Cover
We want to be upfront about what's not covered so there are no surprises later.
- Roofs and rust caused by stone chips, scratches, or nicks
- Front fenders without fender liners
- Mechanical parts like the engine and transmission
- Surface paint issues that haven't yet perforated all the way through
- Vehicles damaged in accidents that aren't re-treated with Krown within 30 days of repair
- Areas where missing paint isn't repainted and re-sprayed with Krown within 6 months of notice
- Lost time, inconvenience, or other consequential damages (like rental car costs) while a covered repair is being made
Two Things Worth Knowing
Your Warranty Transfers If You Sell
Selling your car or truck? The Krown warranty transfers to the new owner at no charge. That's a real resale value boost most rust protection competitors don't offer. The warranty is also honored at any Krown shop in North America, so if you move out of Akron, your coverage moves with you.
Keep Your Receipts
Krown requires you to keep yearly application records. We give you a receipt every time you bring your vehicle in. If you lose one, just call us at 330-785-7895 and we can pull it from our records. Your warranty document also needs to be signed by an authorized Krown representative at your first application. We handle that for you when you come in.
Want the Official Document?
These are the official Krown corporate warranty documents. The plain-English summary above covers the same terms.
